Aug. 26: Varsity Girls Lose Nailbiter to Metamora

On Tuesday, the Varsity Girls Tennis Team opened their 2008 season by hosting Metamora. It was an extremely close contest that came down to the final doubles match, which Metamora pulled out 7-5 in the 3rd set, thus winning the meet 5-4.

Singles winners for West were Brittany Funk, Lindsey Sebade, and Emily Howell. Funk and Sebade also won their doubles match.

The meet was a great team effort against a quality opponent, and bodes well for the rest of season. Good job, 'Cats!
